Eclipsebio is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Associate with an entrepreneurial mindset and a love for science to join our dynamic and fun team in San Diego. This person will be responsible for building and expanding relationships within the existing client base to provide ongoing customer service and grow revenue, while also uncovering and establishing new avenues for growth. They must listen carefully and understand both scientific and business needs to identify and present creative solutions.

Job description
- Effectively communicate Eclipsebio’s RNA technologies to a US and international audience.
- Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM).
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as assigned by management.
- Establish positive relationships with new and existing customers to promote Eclipsebio’s service and data solutions.
- Work cross functionally with Operations team to forecast incoming projects and relay key technical details to ensure customer success.
- Conduct presentations to both academic and biotech industry audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a science curriculum or bachelor’s degree with at least two years of customer service, sales, or marketing experience in the genomics/NGS space.
- Strong desire to learn highly technical products along with professional drive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Relevant work experience in a research lab environment
- Familiarity with CRMs
- Familiarity with Biotech industry
Benefits and Salary
Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 + commission, DOE
