How we hire

Our process for joining our team of RNA experts

At Eclipsebio, we have two goals during our hiring process: 1) to continue to grow Eclipsebio’s team with new employees who are passionate about the power of RNA to revolutionize medicine and 2) to ensure that candidates discover what it is like to work at Eclipsebio by getting to know our team and processes.

The Eclipsebio hiring process occurs in the following stages:

1. Apply by email

2. Team interviews

3. Reference checks

4. Job offer

5. Acceptance paperwork and background checks

During this process we are hiring to ensure that our team members and external partners receive the best possible support from our newest team member. In order to achieve this goal, we select individuals who are the best fit for the job at hand and who are the best fit for our long-term goals.

1. Apply by email

After you have found an open position that you are interested in, you will submit your application to the hiring manager by emailing jobs@eclipsebio.com. Each job posting will list a unique subject line for the email, please make sure to have your email match the requested subject line.

The hiring manager will review your background and qualifications to evaluate if you would be a good fit for the position, and will contact you if you are selected to move forward with the interview process.

While you are waiting to hear from the hiring manager, we encourage you to visit our LinkedIn and website to get a feel for the company and our mission.

2. Team interviews

If your application is selected to proceed, you will typically have an initial conversation with the hiring manager to discuss your background and the position. Based off that conversation and the processes of the department you are applying to, you may be asked to participate in an in-person or remote interview with other members of the Eclipsebio team.

Depending on the position, the team interviews will either be multiple one-on-ones with relevant team members ranging from 30 minutes to an hour or panel interviews with a mixture of team members. For some positions, you may also be asked to provide a scientific presentation on your previous work to the team.

3. Reference checks

Reference checks enable our team to get to you know you better from third parties. We will typically ask for three professional references, and one of the references should be a former supervisor. In order to be respectful of everyone’s time, we only contact references if we know we want to move forward with the hiring process.

Once we have spoken with the references, all team members involved with the hiring process will discuss the potential candidates and decide who they believe will be the best fit for the position.

We try to complete the reference check process within one to two weeks, although timelines may be extended as other candidates are interviewed.

4. Job offer

If a job offer is extended, the hiring manager will call you with the good news. This call will also give you the opportunity to ask any remaining questions that you have about the position and Eclipsebio.

5. Acceptance paperwork and background checks

Welcome to the Eclipsebio team! After completing the required paperwork and the successful completion of your background check, next steps will be getting you ready for your first day and our onboarding process.

Equal employment

Eclipsebio is an equal opportunity employer and strives to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Eclipsebio will attempt, to the best of our ability, to reasonably accommodate individuals unless doing so would create an undue hardship on Eclipsebio.
